Rohr Wolverhampton is at it again - this time meeting the local MP, Emma Reynolds, with her was her Secretary. Hats off to Mrs T Marambi, Ms Florence Munemo and Ms Flora Nyahuma for going that extra mile to facilitate the day’s meeting.
We all took turns in introducing ourselves to the MP. Ms P Chibanguza took time to give an insight about ROHR, how it started and also talked about our aims and objectives. Mrs Marambi also highlighted some of the concerns within the community, raising awareness, also Ms Florence Munemo highlighted about our intentions of helping in the community and as well Ms Flora Nyahuma who chipped in on volunteering in the community. The MP was really pleased after all the discussions and she did not realise there was such a group in the community and was well prepared and more than happy to introduce us to other groups that could work with us voluntarily.
The MP also suggested that we also meet other MPs and councillors with the same concerns and interests.
The MP will be e-mailing me information on next steps and as a thank you the MP was presented with a ROHR t-shirt. We couldn’t help but notice the joy and appreciation in her on receiving our little gift.
Watch the space for ROHR Wolverhampton!!!
