Letter from Chair of ROHR Bedford to Patrick Hall, MP for Bedford

 Dear Mr Patrick Hall

Re: ROHR Bedford General Meeting – 4th July 2009

In reference to the above and our last telephone conversation, I firstly would like to thank you for accepting our invitation.  We are going to have our general meeting on 4th July at Kempton Community Hall from 2:30 – 5 pm.

The meeting is going to be graced by the presence of ROHR President, Mr Ephraim Tapa, part of the Rohr-UK executive and a lawyer. Also attending this meeting are ROHR representatives from other branches – Milton Keynes, Northampton, Kettering, London etc.  The purpose of our meeting is to raise awareness of human rights to the Zimbabwean community mainly in the Bedford area. This meeting is also a part of an ongoing campaign we have to communicate the message and pressure the Zimbabwean Government to urgently restore and respect the rule of law, justice, peace and democracy space.

We believe that change in Zimbabwe will require and demand the involvement of Zimbabweans with the help of the international community hence we saw it fit that we extend our invitation and introduce ourselves to the Bedford local authority.
