E-mailMany Zimbabweans wonder what ROHR is all about. RESTORATION OF HUMAN RIGHTS Zimbabwe is an organization that seeks to restore the human rights of ordinary Zimbabweans. ROHR is a non-party political organization aimed at empowering the people of Zimbabwe towards the achievement of Peace, Justice and Freedom. We campaign against the ruthless and insensitive dictatorship of Robert Mugabe and all would-be dictators. We campaign for the sanctity of life, equality of all before the law, respect and human dignity.
ROHR Zimbabwe is the sister organization to the Zimbabwe vigil that seeks to educate and enlighten the Zimbabweans in Zimbabwe and in the Diaspora of their rights in addition to raising awareness to the international community. The hope is that the people of Zimbabwe will speak with one voice to the international community against the government of Robert Mugabe, which continues to persecute defenceless and innocent the ordinary citizens of Zimbabwe.
We remain indebted to the President of the organization Mr Ephraim Tapa who is the brains behind the formation and character of this organization. We also thank his dedicated supporting team that includes the UK co-ordinator, Paradzai Mapfumo, Mr Wellington Munyemweri chairman of Kent, Emnah Zibgowa, Chair Birmingham and Des Parayiwa V-chair Birmingham. We are also inspired by the tireless efforts of Joana Zhira, organizer Stoke-on-Tent, Pauline Mutema chair stoke, Donnah Mugoni Northern Chairperson, who always make every effort to be part of ROHR activities, whatever it takes. The struggle to gain a democratic Government and respect requires dedicated members that will stand firm and fight for their rights to be addressed.
We are pleased to hear a significant number of people have come forth to join the rights organization. In Coventry Zimbabweans turned up in multiples asking the question, “where have you been all this time?” We seek Peace, freedom, Justice, the right to life (basic needs) of which the regime has failed to provide for its people. The coming of Mr Tapa and his mission to restore human rights has answered many prayers and instilled hope in many. When he started, I do not think the President expected this message to resonate with many and be received with so much zeal.
ROHR will continue to call upon all Zimbabweans to join hands and fight for their rights. It’s time we stand up together and exercise our Democratic Rights, and to say enough is enough to Mugabe.
ROHR is calling upon all Zimbabweans to come and help us fight this good fight and restore what is rightfully ours.
